About ymove
An analytics platform for emigrants, built from what the community reports rather than from what agencies publish.
What it does
People describe their own relocation — where they moved, when they filed, how long they waited, how it felt — through short surveys. The answers are aggregated into statistics anyone can read: filing and processing timelines by country and permit type, the emotional arc of the process, and how expectations compare with what actually happened.
Why it exists
Official timelines describe the procedure, not the experience. Forums and chats have the experience but no numbers. This sits in between: structured answers from people going through it, turned into something you can actually compare against.
How the data is handled
Sign-in and content are kept apart on purpose. Your email address stays with the sign-in provider; everything you submit is stored under a technical identifier that cannot be turned back into it. Aggregated statistics never identify an individual.
Read the privacy policyWhere it is now
Very early. The architecture, the surveys and the statistics all still change between releases — the release log is the honest version of the roadmap.
See what changedWho runs it
A non-commercial hobby project run by a private individual. No ads, no data sales, no company behind it.
