Mandorla Board

Gloria Mako, President– is a retired educator with a background as a principal, speech therapist, learning consultant and university adjunct professor. She has 5 children (2 sons and 3 step-sons), is an Elder at the Forked River Presbyterian Church and served on the Lacey Township Board of Education strategic planning committee.

In 2006, she was selected as one of the Exceptional Women of Ocean County for her volunteer work with Mandorla. Prior volunteer work includes All Saints Regional Catholic School, AARP state level committee, and guest speaker on various topics related to children and education. Gloria also serves as the executive director of Mandorla and is responsible for program development, implementation and oversight.

Paul Costadina, Vice President – is a FINRA licensed, registered representative, life and variable insurance broker and mortgage solicitor. He has 25 years’ experience assisting small companies and individual investors with comprehensive financial services including planning, management, asset allocation and estate planning.

Paul, who has three sons, is a former member of the Rotary Club of Forked River, Greater Lacey Chamber of Commerce and basketball coach for the Lacey Township Basketball Association. He presently serves on the Board of Directors of Monmouth County LeTip and has published numerous articles on money management.

Kelly Hopper, Treasurer– is a certified public accountant (CPA) with offices in Forked River for 22 years. In her prior corporate and public accounting experiences, she specialized in business and individual taxation and financial analysis and reporting.

Kelly has a long history with scouting having served as a den leader, committee chair, merit badge counselor and in various other positions with Cub Scout Pack 522 and troops 522, 156 and 42. She is the proud mother of 3 Eagle Scouts. Other activities include services and sponsorship of Lacey Township recreational sport organizations, The Forked River Presbyterian Church and assisting other non-profit entities in forming and obtaining 501 (c )3 status.

Dr. Thomas McGillick, Secretary– is owner and president of Wharfside Chiropractic Center, Route 9, Forked River for over 30 years. He was past president of the Monmouth/Ocean Chiropractic Society and served in multiple positions with the New Jersey Chiropractic Society including chair of ethics and insurance. He was one of the lead chiropractic physicians for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of New Jersey. He has multiple board certifications including: Impairment and Disability, MRI Interpretation and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

Dr. McGillick is the proud father of three children and dedicates much time to providing service to the local community through Mandorla and the Rotary Club of Forked River. He is a Paul Harris Fellow with the Rotary and has 31 years of perfect attendance. He received an outstanding honor as Rotarian of the Decade in 2013. Dr. McGilick was formerly with the Municipal Alliance and past chair of many charities including Red Cross and support of our local food bank.
